Employee Resource Groups
Together, we celebrate our differences.
Bringing together individuals with shared interests and life experiences is one of the primary purposes of an Employee Resource Group (ERG). 这些employee-led, voluntary groups foster a diverse and inclusive workplace, increase employee engagement, and support professional and personal growth.
University of 凤凰城 is proud to be the home of five thriving and active ERGs. 通过志愿者, 网络, special events and celebrations, the 骄傲的盟友 (LGBT), African American Council of Excellence (AACE), 退伍军人, 拉美裔, and 凤凰女崛起 ERGs raise awareness about issues that are important to all of us. They connect people who may otherwise not meet to create new relationships and cross-disciplinary partnerships.
All employees are welcome to join any or all of our ERGs. We encourage you to learn more about these groups as well as their goals and missions.
骄傲的盟友
Our 骄傲的盟友 ERG supports the Lesbian, 同性恋, 双性恋, Transgender (LGBT) community; its mission is to transform the lives of our staff, faculty and students through acceptance, collaboration and education. 骄傲的盟友 strives to dissolve stereotypes and myths about the LGBT community and it promotes equality in the workplace through community outreach and awareness events.
退伍军人
Our 退伍军人 ERG helps us all honor and recognize the sacrifices of our military men and women and their families. This ERG hosts 网络 events to develop and advance those in the military-affiliated community into leadership roles.
African American Council of Excellence
The African American Council of Excellence (AACE) ERG champions a diverse workplace, marketplace and community. It also develops and advances its members into leadership roles by offering career development programs and by hosting 网络 events.
凤凰女崛起
One of our first ERGs, 凤凰女崛起 (PWR) supports career development and the advancement of women into leadership roles. PWR recognizes, promotes and encourages women with activities, events and celebrations.
La Fuerza
La Fuerza, the 拉美裔 ERG, launched in May 2018, making it our newest ERG! Its mission is to create and maintain an inclusive environment where differences are valued as strengths. La Fuerza also promotes creativity and innovation and the maximization of individual potential.
